How can Reiki help me?

Reiki helps restore balance in your body and relieve symptoms of illness. Reiki is known to produce positive results such as helping to overcome cancer and chemotherapy side effects, reducing stress, relieving pain, reducing recovery and healing times, relieving back problems, reducing arthritis pain, reducing fibromyalgia pain, and many more.

NOTE: Reiki should be used as a complement to conventional medicine, not as a substitute.

What will I feel or experience during a session?

Usually when receiving Reiki, you will feel very relaxed and you may have a "floating" feeling. You may feel some warmth or tingling under the practitioner's hands. These and other sensations come from what the Reiki energy is actually doing in and around your body, ie. adding energy, removing excess energy, balancing, or removing blockages among other things. It is also possible that you will experience different emotions or thoughts during the session. Everyone's experience will be unique. Remember that all healing starts a process of release. This could be emotions or even toxins in your body that you need to get rid of. It is a possibility that you might initially even feel worse than before but this is part of the healing process and will soon pass. This experience is referred to as a healing crisis. It is a normal and healthy response on your body's part. As with any body work, drinking lots of water after your session is recommended.

How often should I have a Reiki treatment?

Most people can be helped with a couple of initial visits and then will typically require one session every couple of months to keep them in balance. However, if Reiki is used to treat something specific it may be necessary to increase the frequency of treatments. The more complex the problem the more sessions one will require.
